babushka designs started with me pottering on my sewing machine making and creating for the baby in my belly! Her arrival was the motivation for me to spread my ideas for others to enjoy.... I studied design and have always had a passion for textiles, so thought that I should combine that with my devotion to my sewing machine and start my business. Babushka designs - the name comes from my other love, exploring Eastern Europe where I have a beautiful old lady neighbour who is my Baba and my inspiration in the tradition of handmade textiles and crafts, in her little house she is the happiest lady I know.
